Billy W.

A New York City to Philly transplant, Billy W has been an active DJ for a decade. Starting with a voracious appetite for soul and rare groove, it was only logical that Billy would find a love for disco and house music.  Finding his inspiration in the glory days and eclectic music of David Mancuso's Loft parties and the Paradise Garage, Billy began promoting and programming the music at small events in the Philadelphia metropolitan area.

After a handful of one-off's and several guest spots, Billy teamed up with Detroit native MikeTee and the two developed the popular Robotique party in the fall of 2007. Though it started as a monthly in a venue that held about 150, Robotique grew into a larger space and became a weekly within a year. Known for his unique sets that combine obscurities with well known classics, Billy approaches the turntables with a versatility that demands attention and, most importantly, moves dancefloors from Philly, to DC, to New York, to San Francisco and back again.
