This week a favorite returns
Hopefully, many of our readers enjoyed a food filled Holiday weekend. I personally experienced about two food comas myself. Now that the Holiday season is upon us, I thought it would be appropriate to give an early gift to you.
In a recent phone conversation with Lars B, I found out that he would be in Chicago this weekend and long story short, we are flying in one of our favorite boys of Summer to heat up Marbar this weekend. Lars has been uber busy since his last visit. His label Deeper Shades of House has been pushing out a bunch of House Jams and even with the merger of XM & Sirius, Lars has been pushing out his weekly pod casts without hesitation

New Years is closer than you think. Make sure to check out the NOW FIXED link on our homepage. Remember that 13th st is a non parking zone at night. Do not park on 13th st, you will be towed.
On the week of NYE - ticket holders will be sent an email (to the address that was used to purchase the ticket). This email will confirm your name and guests (for multiple ticket buyers) - The name provided will be checked off at the door, please bring Valid Photo I.D.
We are taking this additional measure to keep the crowd at 200 people and also not to cause confusion at the door. Also for those with multiple tickets - you will not be at the mercy of you party to gather at one spot to enter.
At the rate the tickets are selling, it looks like there will be none available at the door.
The party and the Djs start at 9pm - arrive early - to enjoy a full night of fun, on the eve of Change.

Free Sundae next week
With School being out for the Kiddies - for the holiday season - we are planning to show a holiday movie for all family members - so the max rating will be only PG. We plan to show the film around 5:15 pm - We have 6 Plasmas and 1 big screen with amazing sound. Bring pillows or blankets for the kids to relax on, bring some for yourself if you like). Food will be available for sale and we have an amazing and inexpensive kids menu. This could be a great time to get together with family, neighbors and co-workers or send the kids off with Dad while Mom stays home and wraps all of Santa's gifts or vice-versa.
Anyway - In the eve of Change - its time to bring the family outing back into vogue. This will be viewed on December 21. Kids get in free as ususal all day and everyone that arrives before the movie starts.
Feel free to stay on after the movie and dance the kids to exhaustion.

Sundae Holidae Screening
With school out for the Holiday Season, we know that many house holds are filled once again with the patter of little feet all dae long. As Sundae has become the childhood staple for summer time fun (and happy parents taking exhausted children home to sleep), we are inviting parents, families and all kids at heart to spend a family dae with us this Sundae. The votes are in, and like an Obama landslide we will be showing a classic Christmas TV Combo, including "A Charlie Brown Christmas, How the Grinch Stole Christmas (original) & the Year without a Santa Clause. The screenings will start at 5:15 and should end a little past 7 PM. If this is your first time to our Winter location - it is located on the second floor of Marathon Grille at 40th & Walnut streets. Food is available for purchase all dae long, Marathon has an extensive children's menu, that has gone over very well with picky eaters and an equally full menu for adults, priced for our current economy. For those over 21, a full (depression priced) bar is also available. We will be showing the games on the screens by the bar (no volume) and the featured holidae TV shows on the projector screen and plasmas in the back of the venue. Table seating will be reserved for those wishing to eat and view at the same time. However, you are encouraged to bring pillows and blankets to spread out (please note that the main viewing area has polished hard floors). The Sundae party will open its doors at 4 PM sharp for those that wish to get a little dancing in before the screening. Dancing will resume directly after the floor space is cleared and will continue until 12:30. The party is ALWAYS FREE for Kids all year long, and until 6:45 parents and those that just want to watch the screening will also be allowed in, free of charge. This can be a great way to spend time with the kids, family members and friends on a warms winters afternoon. Call up friends you have not seen in awhile and invite them over for a play date. The best part is, the kids will be worn out by the end of the day and Mom and Dad can enjoy the rest of the winters evening in peace and quiet. Again, the event is free to everyone until 6:45. there is plenty of free on street parking, (make sure to read the signs) and a parking garage directly across the street. We look forward to seeing you all this coming Sundae.

As a bonus and a late holiday gift. All ticket holders will be given access to the entire sundae download catalog. The code will be sent on or before January 2, 2009. Currently there are over 250 mixes including recent sundae parties that have not be uploaded to the server.

Starting Jan 4, 2009 - we change our winter hours.
NEW YEARS EVE INFORMATION
With less than 48 hours left, I would like to go over a few details and also get the final guest list sorted.
1. Even if you are a single ticket holder - please respond back to this e-mail address with your full name (as it appears on a legal I.D.).(for ticket holders only)
ex. Joe Dancer - would simple send back Joe dancer
it may seem redundant, however, some tickets were purchased for
others not familiar with the online ticket service, and some are giving the tickets away because they can not make it.
2. For those who have purchased multiple tickets - we also need your name and the names of everyone that will meet you there.
ex. Jane Househead has purchased 5 tickets - she would respond back to this e-mail with the following
Jane Househead, John Boogie, Sue Breakdancer, Josh Hustle & Mike Drinker
This is also done so, the ticket buyer does not have to wait around for everyone to show up at the door.
All names will be checked at the door. Again please bring proper legal ID to get in. You can also bring your ticket as back up, but the list will override all. Once a name is check off - it is off the list.
3. You will be allowed to exit and enter all night.
4. DO NOT PARK ON 13TH ST. YOUR CAR WILL BE TOWED. PLEASE READ ALL PARKING SIGNS WHERE EVER YOU PARK. IF YOU ARE NOT SURE, PARK SOMEWHERE ELSE.
5. Apo - or Apothecary is located at 103 south 13st st. - the number is 2157357500. It is a two story building between Chestnut and Sansom. It has a glass door with an illuminated green and white cross in a circle above the door.
6. The party starts at 9pm. jojoflores will go on around ten on the main floor downstairs. Lee Mayjahs?, Dirty and myself will be on starting at nine on both floors. There is a roof deck that is heated, and smoking will be allowed outside on the street level in front of the building.
7. Please try to refrain from bringing coats into the building. It looks like it will be in the 50's on Wednesday night. We are not telling you not to bring your winter gear - but just be mindful of the limited space available.
8. We will be shutting the doors once we reach the 200 limit. At this point there are a few tickets left - however as I am typing this - I see more and more being purchased. What ever tickets are left will be sold at the door, but once we have come to the 200 point - NO ONE WILL BE LET IN. Please inform others to buy now. We also reserve the right to stop ticket sales at the door before we reach 200. (we may choose to allow more room for dancing and hooping!)
7. There will be no food served at APO, If you want to eat in the area before you arrive - Please visit Bump - 13th and Locust (american food) - avg. entree is 20 bucks. Reservations are requested at 2157321800.
8. The after party is at Pure night club - 1 and 1/2 blocks south of APO - Pure will be going until at least 8 in the morning with 3 floors and 3 styles of house/.hip hop and party classics. Pure will serve liquor until 3 am and resume at 7 am. You can walk over to Pure - so you can leave your car where it is. The discounted cover charge will be 20 for APO customers.
Zee Bar - located at Spring Garden Plaza will also be open until 6 am - they too will be serving till 3 am. However - you will need to drive, but there is free parking in the lot.
Which ever venue you choose - it will be crazy at the door, once the two am clubs close.
9. Please be mindful the the Mummers parade will be setting up around the times the clubs start to close, be prepared for traffic delays and street closures. The parade kicks off at 7 am and runs till Midnight.
10. We want everyone to have an amazing time, however - if you are driving, please drink responsibly or take public transportation.
