Miami WMC - Thank You

To our Sundae Family World Wide. (but espeically those in the 215)

Who would have thought that just 6 years ago - a little party, in a tiny ass courtyard, at a perculiar hour, on a Sunday afternoon would have grown beyond its intended vision.

I certainly did not.

This past Sundae - over 1800 people braved 4 rain storms and obligded the code ordinaces’ of Miami Beach.  People from Europe, Asia, Australia, South America and all points in between gathered and danced under the party name - Sundae.

This past weekend the Titans  of the Electronic music industry danced with Rock & Roll Royality, R&B Crooners, Starleets of the Silver Screen and mingled with our Sundae family.  Family members that represented the very best of Philadelphia and the Crown Jewels of our sister parties overseas.

This past Sundae - Sat-one silenced the haters with his brilliant set, jojoflores showed all gathered that Montreal still has soul, Rich Medina took out his “stank stick” and smacked it all around the dance floor, Jay J, enchanted the dancers below and had them singing every last single song back to him, King Britt, took his crown off and ripped up the concrete & Oscar P - capped the night off with a thunderous bass line - that even the heavens could not discourage with our final rain storm of the night.

I would like to thanks everyone - especially those from Philly.  6 years ago we were only about 120 strong.  A small team of party people, looking to have a great fucking time.  Now across the globe and at the Epi-center of the Dance Culture Community, Sundae stands on its own.  Amoung hundreds of thousands gathered - the simple message of Sundae spread futher “if you are not here to dance, stay home”.

Philly, pat yourselves on the back.  To many times I hear us bitching about the scene and dissing what is happening in our great city.  When we really should be applading all the postivity that goes on each and every day as we walk around in a city of millions.  Take pride that another postitive idea has sprung from the City of Brotherly & Sisterly love and is now speading around the planet.  Stand tall in the fact that you have made this possible. Smile with the knowledge that Sundae is ONLY successful because you were the first to care about your local dance scene.

Philladelphia &. Take a bow.  You have exceeded my wildest expectation.

Bravo
