Last week, well...unbelievable....nuff said on that. This week we are bringing in a soul Titan. "MASTER KEV is part of the second generation of New York's top deep house DJs. Following in the footsteps of Timmy Regisford, Tony Humphries and Louie Vega, Kev is becoming known around the world as the face of New York soulful house. Close tutelage from legendary DJ and producer Tony Humphries, hard work, perseverance (and a couple hit records) have taken him from being Timmy Regisford's biggest fan to becoming his peer." This Sundae will be his first ever appearance for Sundae. We all are very excited about this new pairing and are expecting another record turn out crowd to come hear and support such a great Dj. Next Up : Silk City. Andy Caldwell......last Sundae night.....nuff said. This week, we have a Philly Fav spinning. Dj Excel will be making a quick stop by at Silk City to spin for the masses. On July 29th all of us, the wonderful tapestry of people that TOGETHER form the Philadelphia music community, must come TOGETHER in celebration and in support of RANDY “FLASH” MILLER. Randy Flash - a wonderful friend who’s kindness, warmth, and passion is felt by all, was the victim of a brutal and senseless act of violence at a party intended to celebrate life. We must not, cannot, and will not let the evil few in our midst outweigh the predominance of good that surrounds us! Randy and his family need us. TOGETHER we can help and TOGETHER we must laugh, dance, and rejoice again! Understanding the tough economic times, we ask everyone to put aside a couple of dollars a day so that on the 29th we can join TOGETHER to help provide our brother Randy and his family the help that they need. 100% of everything collected on the 29th will go to the cause. BROTHERLY LOVE always prevails!! Music for the celebration of Randy's life will be provided by DJs from the house music community selected by the family.. For those that are too far away or can not make it, we will be streaming live from the party - all day and night. We only encourage you to pay $20 also. A paypal system is being set up and more information will be available shortly.
A viewing will begin at 9 a.m. Monday, July 26, at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, 1008 N. 48th St., where a funeral service will follow at 10. There is an overwhelming amount of DJs that from all around the world have expressed interest in helping lift spirits on the 29th. ALLOW ME TO BE CRYSTAL CLEAR ABOUT THE FOLLOWING. 1000000% of all monies collected are being TRANSPARENTLY given directly to his mother. All cost in producing this event and elements related are being absorbed by a collective of friends. So all printing, web development, hosting fees, cab fares, the works are not being taken out of the fund. You give $20, bucks, the family gets that. THIS IS NOT A SUNDAE EVENT, we just have the best Tech tools at helping in this cause. Del, Venus, Keisha, Terrell & I all are handling different parts of this event.
