Resident Evil???

This past week has brought so much love to the city in spite of the tragic week before.  The dance, art, restaurant & club community came together with out pause to raise awareness and support for the family of Sabina Rose.  Thank you to EVERYONE that participated in celebrating the life of a wonderful spirit.  The money collected at this past Sundae party was added today to the THOUSANDS of dollars already raised.  Thank you Philadelphia.

On a different note, this past month a lot of behind the scenes work has been going on to change pending legislation on the way we party in Philadelphia.  I am happy to say that this week a much friendlier bill was introduced to council and will allow our happy feet to  dance for the years to come.  One person to highlight in this process was Patrick Rogers - who runs the now infamous Goth parties at Shampoo.  Patrick - took the cause on behalf of not only the dance community but music in general and meet personally with council members to shed light on the actions this legislation would cause in all of our communities .  Patrick does not hang in our Sundae Circle - but if you ever pass his way, make sure to say thank you for looking out, not only for his interest. but that of future generations of music lovers in the city.  Better yet, stop by any Wednesday night at Shampoo and buy him a drink.  THANKS PATRICK!!!

This week : Mike Nyce & Residents

In a rare exchange of dates and djs, this week Dirty, Myself and dominiQue will be spinning Octo for you.  I know that Dirty has been in the crates getting ready for Sundae.  dominiQue is stressed out, as this is his first big gig in front of the crowd he grew up in.  I will have a few gems for you too.  We may even have a "special gimmick" for you too.

Later in the evening - the now supppppper hot sundae nite party at silk will feature Mike Nyce.  Mike is another beast of a Dj that was raised in a House Party environment.  He has traveled the world and has been a resident at many of Philly's top clubs and parties.  Currently he hold its down every Saturday with the first lady of Dance - Stacy Fly Gurl and Questlove at Fluid.  The Tasty Treats party is currently the longest running party in the city, so you know Mike has some nuggets to throw out on the dance floor.

Remember the party at Silk is free with you wristband from Octo (it also gets you into Voyeur).  Silk serves dinner til 1am the garden is open till 1:45am.

Below find a very rare video of the Jackson family right before they signed to Philly International.  This July 4th weekend we will pay tribute to the founding fathers of Dance music in our out very special way. (along with a little help from Dmitri from Paris and the guys at BBE).  more details soon.
411 So week 2 of this phenomenal event brought you over 700 beautiful people who seemed to FINALLY be able to quench their social thirst. We thank you all for spreading the word; but please know that we have more room for more of you so call your friends from out of town; plan a reunion or just get the good people you wanna be around together and come on down this & every Friday night between now & June 25th. The 1st weekend in July we switch to Saturday to give you a special night under the fireworks; then we are back on to Fridays. With music by DJ Brendan Bring’em of the Soultravelers & your MC Elixir of the Scratchmechanix it’s no reason why the blend with Urban Socialite & TwilightPhilly makes so much sense.
